The first Weekend in June

We flew a kite at the park.

It's a fairy princess ballerina kite.

There wasn't really enough wind to keep it up there, we'll have to try another time.

So often Violet looks to me like a little girl from another time.

Eating our cookout inside because of the sudden rain.

 We had a fun weekend. We spent it doing simple things with each other, a picnic dinner in colt park, followed by kite flying. Taking Charles for ice cream, and having Tom over for a cookout (and then eating it inside because the sky decided to open up all dramatic like, complete with extreme darkness and thunder).

It always seems like we are wildly trying to do things that need to be done on the weekend, it was so nice to have a laid back couple of days to enjoy with each other.
