Sun is set, time to go home.

We spent yesterday afternoon at Beavertail in Jamestown. It is so spectacularly beautiful, and so close,
I don't know why we so seldom go. We flew a kite, climbed around on rocks, had a picnic, and caught a fabulous sunset. Penelope loved the drama of being on huge rocks overlooking the water, and despite the fact that she can't walk a straight line, the kid is actually a pretty good rock climber! Violet spent most the time in the sling on Steve, but she came out for the sunset. Steve was taking pictures mostly, and lots of them were of butterflies. There were SO many of them! Tons of monarchs, so bright and vividly beautiful orange against the backdrop of blue sky and deeper blue water.

  1. Wonderful pictures of what looks like a wonderful day. Where is this beautiful place? Can we go there when we come? I love the monarch shots - and the glory glory sunset. And, of course, the glory glory children.
